A new and welcome addition to the trombone concerto repertoire. Scored for 2222:2200: strings and solo tenor trombone.

The orchestra has a really active role in this work. There is much interplay between the soloist and the orchestra and the soloist gets to play a lot of 'tunes'

A very effective piano reduction is available enabling a trombonist to perform the concerto accompanied by a piano.

The third movement is a really fun piece. The most difficult of the three movements, it is possible to perform the last movement with an alternative solo part written for the less advanced player. The version here is the original more difficult solo part.
